Privacy Policy

Thanks for using UCaster! We turn your PDFs into audio and give you tools to manage those audio files. To do that we collect basic account info (name, email), the audio files you create, technical logs, and analytics. We use trusted third-party services (hosting, TTS, and payments) to run the product. 1. Who we are

CetraLabs ("we", "us", "our") operates ucaster.app and related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

2. Data we collect

Account information: name, email, password (hashed), profile info.
Uploads & content: PDFs and any files you upload for conversion to audio. We process these files to provide the Service.
Usage & logs: actions you take in the app, timestamps, IP address, device/browser metadata.
Payment data: we do not store your full payment card details; payments are processed by our payment processor (Stripe).
Cookies & analytics: cookies and analytics data used to understand product usage and improve the Service.

3. How we use your data

Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
Process uploaded files (convert PDFs to audio).
Improve the product and develop new features (analytics and crash/reporting tools).
Communicate with you (account notices, support, policy updates).
Prevent abuse and enforce our Terms.

4. Third parties & processors

We use third-party providers to deliver the Service (for example: cloud hosting, TTS engines, payment processors like Stripe, and analytics providers). Those providers process personal data on our behalf under contract. We recommend listing your exact providers on the live page.

5. Content ownership & processing

You retain ownership of any files or content you upload. By uploading content you grant CetraLabs a limited license to store, process, and serve that content for the purposes of providing the Service. This license is non-exclusive, revocable by account deletion or request.

6. Data retention

We retain account data and uploaded files for as long as you maintain an account and for up to 90 days after account closure to allow recovery and backups, unless a longer retention period is required by law. We remove or anonymize logs after a reasonable time.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location: access, correction, export (data portability), deletion, and objection to certain processing. To exercise these rights email privacy@cetralabs.xyz with your request and proof of identity where required.

8. Security

We protect data using industry-standard practices (encryption in transit and at rest, access controls). No system is perfect — if we discover a data breach we will notify affected users and authorities as required by law.

9. Children

Our Service is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use the Service. If you learn a child under 13 provided us with personal data, contact privacy@cetralabs.xyz and we will delete it.

10. International transfers

Our servers and third-party providers may be located outside your country. Where required, we use safeguards to protect your data during international transfers.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on the site and, where required, notified to users. "Last updated" and version information appear at the top of this page.

Terms of Service

By using UCaster you agree to follow the rules below. You keep ownership of your uploaded files but let UCaster process and store them so the app works. Don't upload content you don't own or abuse the service. We use Stripe for payments. If something goes wrong, we'll try to help, but our liability is limited. For legal disputes we follow California law.

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of UCaster (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

2. Definitions

Service: ucaster.app and related offerings.
User Content: any files or materials you upload.
We/Us/Our: CetraLabs.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User Content & license

You retain ownership of your User Content. By uploading content, you grant CetraLabs a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, copy, store, and process the content to provide the Service. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

5. Prohibited conduct

You must not: upload content you don't have rights to, reverse engineer the Service, attempt to bypass limits, use the Service to infringe others' rights, send spam, or otherwise misuse the Service. Violations may lead to account termination.

6. Payments & subscriptions

If you use paid features, payments are processed by Stripe or other processors. You agree to the payment terms displayed during checkout. Refunds are handled per our billing policy (describe your refund policy here). We may change prices for future billing cycles but will provide notice for existing subscribers.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations or legal reasons. Upon termination we may delete content after a short retention window as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, UCASTER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, UCASTER'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID UCASTER IN THE PRIOR 12 MONTHS (OR $100 IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID). WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold CetraLabs harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, unless otherwise required by law.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the updated Terms and note the "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated to active users.
